Caspar Park - Childrens Discovery Center

Children's Discovery Center is a unique and fantastically different concept in the childcare industry. It was created on the premise that all children deserve the best quality care possible. It was this idea that made it conceivable to provide the type of nurturing and loving environment for all children that contributed to the foundation that makes CDC distinct from other childcare programs. Thirteen years after it's conception, Children's Discovery Center remains the top childcare / educational facilty in North Carolina.

As of this date, we have a waiting list and have five to ten calls a day for potential students. We also give three to five impromptu tours a day. This seems to be a very unbelievable circumstance due to the fact that we do not advertise our program and we only have one line in the white pages, one line in the yellow pages, and of course this website for your convenience.

With the number of phone calls we receive and the many people who come in for a tour, we realize that we have something in our program that many families are looking for. Low ratios, a fantastic staff of fifty-five dedicated people, and an educational program that is well thought out and appropriate for each individual child. We were selected to be a pilot center for an enrichment program due to a grant that Project Enlightenment received. Only three centers in the entire Triangle area were awarded this opportunity. This program will work with all of our thirteen classrooms to enhance the programs and study what would help each of our teachers to address any and all needs. The three hundred children who attend CDC on a weekly basis will benefit substantially from this study and hopefully we will be able to give feedback that will enrich other centers.

We service children from all of the surrounding Triangle areas including Apex, Cary, Holly Springs, Fuquay, Sanford, Durham, Chapel Hill, Clayton, and North Raleigh. We have received calls wanting to know more about our program from as far away as Japan and South America and in the US from as far away as California and Louisiana. When people are pleased with something, especially a preschool program or child care setting in which they feel comfortable and that their children are safe while, at the center, they naturally tell other people about it. This is how our center continues to be in demand. The variety of programs available, the flexibility of our hours, the excellent curriculum, the superb teaching staff all serves to make CDC the best and most unique program in the Triangle.

At CDC each age group has their own room and their own amenities. All programs of learning are customized for the individual age groups and tested to ensure a healthy confidence building learning experience for everyone. All children are welcome. We run shuttle busses to and from area schools each day to allow for before and after school care. We also offer infant care.

We firmly believe that a child's education and enviroment will have an enormous impact on the their lives. This why we strive to make sure that every child has exceptional education opportuntities.
