Open Door Policy
We welcome all parents to visit their child(ren) without appointment, and participate in classroom and center activities, including crafts, reading to the class, and holiday/special occasions. We only ask that parents balance their visits, and the needs of classrooms learning time and independent growth.
For the safety of our children, grandparents, aunts, uncles, “pop pops”, and anyone visiting children must be accompanied or approved by a parent or guardian.
Teachers are one of our best source of information, and parents should feel comfortable voicing any questions or concerns about their child’s progress and development. Conversations should generally occur outside regular classroom hours, to ensure teachers can provide the needed attention to 1) their class during regular day care hours, and 2) your questions/concerns.
In addition we publish a periodic newsletter on the “happenings” around CDC, and post flyers on doors, tables and around the center.
